Moula Ali Hills is one of the best places to see in Hyderabad.

This is not a typical touristy place. There is a Dargah on top of the hills and behind the Dargah is from where you can get a panoramic view of Hyderabad. This place generally has a lot of visitors on the weekends.

We used to come here regularly for our Photowalks, but unfortunately, due to the behaviour of some irresponsible and culturally insensitive people, the volunteers of the Dargah don't allow people to stay beyond sunset.

You can come here an hour before sunset and be there till the sun glides down the horizon.

They have a special procession during Muharram.

The Dargah is visited by people of all faith. Once, when I went there, I met a Hindu couple who came from Nizamadad to offer prayer for the newly born son. I've also met other people who had made journeys of at least today to reach here. there is a small weekend place opposite to the Dargah, that is where these visitors stay and cook their food.

A few years back, I watched a movie and was pleasantly surprised to see this location in the movie.

How to reach?

The hill is located in Moula Ali area. You can use google maps, and come here without asking anyone.

It's a pleasant exercise to walk up the 484 steps from the bottom of the hill to the Dargah.

It is worth coming here even if you are not keen on photography. You will surely find peace here. you will see a very contrast Hyderabad compared to what you see around the Charminar.

There are also some tombs at the bottom of the hill. You might like to go there if you wish.

When to Visit?

This place is great to visit during sunset. You can be there a little earlier so that you don't miss the sunset.
