Day 5 Tabo – Dhankar – Dhankar Lake – Pin Valley (Mud Village)
Day 6 Pin Valley – Kaza – Ki – Kibber – Kaza
Day 7 Kaza – Hikkim – Komik – Langza – Kaza / Losar
Day 8 Kaza / Losar – Kunzum Pass – Chandratal / Battal
Day 9 Battal / Chandratal – Kunzum Pass – Rohtang Pass – Manali
Day 10 Relaxing in Malali and leaving by evening

(for computer users)Day 1 Chandigarh to Chail We started late and reached Chail at night, had dinner and went to sleep.
Day 2 Chail-Chitkul
Day 3 Chitkul-Kalpa
Though it was really cold, we got up early morning, went to the Baspa river and tried some shots.
The full moon was setting.
Some shots at Baspa river as the first rays of the sun hit the peaks.
We then, went around exploring the village.
The temple at Chitkul village was very interesting.
Then we started our way to the next destination - Kalpa, via Rekong Peo
The Kinner Kailash (Kinnaur Kailash) range from Rekong Peo
Day 4 Kalpa – Nako – Nako Lake – Tabo
Tried some star trails early morning.
Kinner Kailash Shivling Trek starts from Kalpa and goes right up to the huge standing stone you see in the middle.

We started our journey to Nako through some extremely dangerous roads.
The board says - You are travelling on one of the World's Most Treacherous Roads.

We had a pleasant surprise waiting for us - there was a wedding going on. We were lucky to see the bridegroom in the traditional dress.

The Nako Monastery - more than 1000 years old.
We went around Nako village - it was very interesting.
Day 5 Tabo – Dhankar – Dhankar Lake – Pin Valley (Mud Village) - Kaza
The day started with having some very juicy apples from the orchards.

We then left for Dhankar through some interesting roads.

The monks were kind enough and offered us tea.
We started for Mud Village (Pin Valley). On the way, we stopped for lunch.

We reached Kaza at night and were amazed to see the starry sky.
Day 6 Kaza – Ki (Key) – Kibber – Kaza
We first went to Ki (Key) monastery
We then went to Kibber village.
It was harvesting season and we were lucky to witness the activities.
We came back to Key and had a really long wait for the sun to set and for the stars to rise.
And finally, after a long wait, amid cold winds we got our shots.
Was really lucky to get 3 shooting stars in one picture.
Day 7 Kaza – Hikkim – Komik – Langza – Kaza

Next we went to Komic Monastery. Very serene!

Hikkim, the highest post office in the world.
The Post Office was actually a small room with a old computer. We sent a few post cards back home and to some friends and we received them at our home in about 2 weeks.

Day 8 Kaza – Kunzum Pass – Chandratal
Today, we started early morning from Kaza. We had a long day through tough terrain to reach Chandratal via Kunzum Pass.
It was time for a group shot!
Night was spent shooting the stars. It was heavenly!
It was really cold, and most of us did not sleep well.
Day 9 Chandratal – Kunzum Pass – Rohtang Pass – Manali
This was our last day in the Spiti Valley. Early morning we went to Chandratal Lake.
It was time to bid good bye to the magical land of Spiti.
Through long and winding roads, we finally reached Manali in the evening.
Day 10 Relaxing in Manali and leaving by evening
Many of us went shopping during the day. In the evening, we had a cake cutting and then boarded our buses to New Dehli.
It was time to say good bye to All!

Amazing tour to spiti valley!
Well honestly I dunno where to start from n where to end at.. It was an awesome journey n a great experience! I never ever thought I’d be going but the line once said by Saurab Sir ” IT IS DIFFICULT BECAUSE U THINK IT IS ” this line actually kept me confident. Besides it was pleasure being with a decent, knowledgeable, understanding n a helpful person i.e, Saurabh Chatterjee. Infact all the people who came along were simply great n supportive and I can’t forget my lovely room mates!
I have seen a new world, new place, new culture, different atmosphere n much more thanks to God then my parents n surely to saurabh sir!

Finally I could make it to my first photo tour with SIA. Very happy to be a part of such a wonderful trip.Had loads of fun along with lots of learning. One of the best trips so far.Thank you Saurabh Chatterjee for pushing us to test our limits every time else we would have missed the other awesome shots as we missed Chitkul sunrise.
